BELOW are a variety of 8-week courses that BMS offers weekly over 2 months. Whether you are a beginner eager to build creative techniques, a student or an experienced artist seeking to expand your creative repertoire, our courses provide the inspiration and technical know-how to bring your artistic ideas to life.

MONDAY NIGHT STONE CARVING
MONDAYS 7-10pm $325 (8 weeks) + stone fee non-members (or included in monthly $150 membership + stone fee
This 8-week course explores the techniques of subtraction utilizing two distinct yet easy to work with materials ( 1 consisting of a hydro-cal block and the second a soapstone or alabaster stone of the student’s choosing). All tools and supplies are provided to create two distinct works from inception to finish.

FIGURE SCULPTING IN CLAY FROM THE MODEL
AM TUES 10-1pm $325 (8 weeks) for non-members or included in $150 monthly membership
This 8-session day course utilizes 2 model poses. One model each month. Students will learn and practice the fundamental steps to successfully create a figure in clay through visual reference capture, observational techniques and creative choices. Special attention is paid in developing a personal approach to figure modeling, utilizing the model referentially as well as observationally. Firing of work & 1st bag clay included.

MOSAIC sculpture sessioN
PM TUES 7-10pm Oct 20- Dec 15 $325 for non-members or included in $150 monthly membership
This class, taught by Valentina Sanclamente, will be an open creative space to explore mosaic in many different forms including traditional two-dimensional mosaic, sculptural work and mixed media projects using materials such as glass, ceramics, paper, beads, stones and found objects. You are welcome to bring an existing sculpture or project and explore ways to incorporate mosaics into it. This class is open to beginners as well as students who already have experience and want to develop their own projects

STUDIO LAB: GUIDED JOURNEYS IN SCULPTURE
ONGOING
TUES 7-10pm / WED 7-10pm / THURS 10AM-1pm $325 non-members OR included with the $150 monthly membership
These individualized class sessions are designed to celebrate self-direction with expert support, emphasizing experimentation with mentorship and reflection. It is ideal for those who are interested in or are developing a personal vision and want direct feedback specifically related to their ideas and processes. It can be in any material or approach the studio facilitates, including clay. It’s also a great alternative to renting a personal studio space!
Beginners always welcome & the Labs are ongoing so you can jump in anytime!. Members can come as often as they like.
TEEN TUes Art jam
FULL DETAILS UNDER YOUTH PROGRAM
TUESDAYS 4-6pm ongoing monthly
$300 (8 weeks) for non-member teens or part of $150 monthly come as much as you want membership.
Want to find a place to hang with other art teens outside of school? Know a teen who is interested in art or just into learning new cool stuff? This creative group is the place! Join us for eight weeks of fun, chattiness and unique creative sessions, including technical assistance w drawing, painting, design and sculptural works. Pieces will be completed that highlight their concepts as well as craft.

EXPLORING FUNCTIONAL SCULPTURE

Discover the dynamic intersection of art and utility, outside of ceramics, in this immersive functional sculpture course designed for creative thinkers and hand makers. This program guides participants through the process of conceptualizing, designing and constructing sculptural works that serve everyday purposes from innovative lighting, imaginative vessels and interactive devices we will explore how artistic vision can transform practical objects into extraordinary experiences.
