SUMMER DRAWING WORKSHOP SERIES
8 SESSIONS MAY 22- AUG 28 Every other Friday
This series of workshops is designed to be taken together, however not necessary. Each workshop deals with a specific topic, technique and subject matter as well as building upon existing fundamentals and approaches. Within this series students should acquire enough skills to be able to move forward more confidently in a variety of ways. Feel free to pay as you go online for individual workshops or get a deal on the entire series for $ 325.

Entire Series of Drawing Workshops
1. 10 easy steps to better drawing
FRIDAY May 22 7-10pm $35
Learn the 10 vital steps in creating a better still life drawing utilizing composition, rendering and perspective in conjunction with other drawing principles over the course of the evening, all materials and drawing supplies provided. Beginners always welcome!
2. EASY STEPS to understanding PERSPECTIVE DRAWING
FRIDAY June 5th 7-10pm $35
In this fun yet effective workshop students will learn simplified vital steps in seeing and utilizing perspective in drawing exteriors, interiors and objects in perspective utilizing linear perspective principles (1pt & 2pt) over the course of the evening, all materials and drawing supplies provided.
3. VALUE- DYNAMIC Subtractive drawing techniques
FRIDAY June 19 7-10pm $35
In this reverse focused workshop participants will deal with light and shadow from dark to light while exploring loose approaches to drawing by utilizing the removal of a charcoal base to create delicate yet dramatic rendering effects.
4. LINE WORK HATCHING TECHNIQUES USING PEN AND INK
FRIDAY July 3 7-10pm $35
In this workshop students will learn to work with line techniques only and explore how to create value, texture and pattern using cross-hatching approaches.
5. Animals, humans, movement and balance
FRIDAY July 17 7-10pm $35
Can you draw a stick figure? Then this unusual class is for you. Learn to create dynamically well drawn subjects using wire stick figures as a starting point. Over the course of the workshop students will be able to understand unique proportions, joint movement and what makes a pose dynamic.
6. B & W WET MEDIA- PAINTERLY APROACHES TO DRAWING (Model)

7. Simple portrait techniques in drawing
FRIDAY AUG 14 7-10pm Model $ 60
Come have fun and challenge yourself. Learn to draw the basic proportions of the head using a model and how to set things up for a successful outcome.
8. Approaches to drawing the human figure from life
FRIDAY AUG 28 7-10pm Model $60
Come challenge yourself in a traditional figure drawing session. Learn the basic steps to draw the proportions of the human body using a live model. Instruction will focus on the logical steps required for a successful outcome.
